Hello, readers; I hope you're doing well. I'm doing alright. Things could go better, but life just sucks right now. Today's post is a bit of a ramble about some side projects I've decided to pull out.
Before you read forward, I'd like to point your attention to the post I wrote on the RWR blog. It explains my current situation and why I've not updated in a while. THIS BLOG POST.
The first thing I am sharing is my intention to change the titles of the main Xiphis Saga trilogy. Yes, the time is at hand. I have always known that, if I ever felt the current titles don't fit the end-game of the series, I would be changing them.
Currently, I don't know where to begin to think about new, potential titles. I have a hard time with titles, in general. I have tried mini-titles on chapters and tried titling random short stories I have in my repertoire. Not going as I'd hoped, but I do have some ideas now.
I've been using title generators of all kinds and it helps a little bit. But what I don't want is to end up with a title that is over-used or that has nothing to do with my books. I don't need any disasters on my hands.
In other writing news, I've tried to get back into the Six Kingdoms of Kurii series. I'm just having a little hard time with the first two books. The books are stand-alone, but I need to make sure all my details line up. Because I do make mention of the other kingdoms across the series and some of the events in the timeline(s) mingle with the others.
Something I have to do is find my Six Kingdoms notebook and triple-check my outlines. I am discovery-writing; outlining as I write each chapter. I thought I wouldn't need to worry too much about an extensive outline, with this series, because I know all these Bible stories by heart. I have even tried redesigning the covers, just for fun, in hopes of sparking my inspiration and motivation. Of course, July was a bust and I just couldn't get into any writing.
This is all I have for now. Hopefully, I will have more news next week. Stay safe, stay awesome. See you in the funny papers.
